      Each year, Southern Comfort Cattle Company, LLC selects herd sires to improve our quality beef operation in order to raise the highest standard beef in Northeast Georgia.  Our calves are born on the farm and raised by their mothers until weaning at approximately 8 months old.  Our calves are weaned in a safe and low stress environment where they are allowed beside their mothers until weaning is achieved.  Our calves are then sorted into groups and the best calves are kept and put back out to pasture in either our beef or replacement heifer programs.  We use a veterinary recommended vaccination program to promote optimum health and feed our calves an all natural grain/plant based feed until turn-out which is usually 7-10 days after weaning.  There are no GMO feeds and no growth hormones ever!
